Fred Gernandt
Fred Gernandt has been a fixture in the Bandon real estate world since moving to town in 1970 and joining forces with his mother, Frances Cavoretto, and his brother, David L. Davis, in the business of property development and brokerage. During his five decades in the business, Fred has brokered countless transactions ranging from small houses on the beach to large ranches in Eastern Oregon and everything in between. As a developer he worked together with his brother in transforming large portions of Bandon real estate into neighborhoods and subdivisions with Seabird Terrace, Golf Links Estates, Strawberry Point, Pelican Point and Seabird Village to name a few. With this breadth of knowledge at his side, Fred always brings the most amount of experience and knowledge to any transaction and will work tirelessly to ensure a successful sale.
Prior to brokerage in Bandon, Fred lived something of a renaissance life and worked together with his family-owned businesses that ranged from dairy farming to golf course management in Bandon’s Westmost Golf Course and a short order cook at the Whistlepunk Inn (now Billy Smoothboar’s). Fred completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Santa Clara and also continued on to study at the Oregon Institute of Biology, Gonzaga University, and UC Davis School of Economics for his postgrad work.
Fred is a lifelong pilot who began flying when he was 17 and became instrument rated when he was 24. He still pursues it to this day and he has also begun flying drones over the past few years which allows him to synergize his passion for aviation with real estate marketing tools.
